Flower Arranging Grid

Written By Michael Paladino 21 Jul 2014

The secret to creating a floral arrangement in a shallow vase but still having a somewhat tall arrangement is making a tape grid to support the stems. 1. Attach strips of clear tape in a grid across the vase (we used colored tape for photo purposes), spacing them equally apart. 2. Next, trim the stems and start placing the flowers in the middle of the grid and working out. Start with the tallest ones in the middle. 3. Continue adding blooms until the vase is full. 4. To hide any tape that can still be seen, tuck in the outermost ring of flowers at an angle. You now have a beautiful flower arrangement in a shallow vase! TIP: try using a mason jar for a more southern style look!
